You’d be forgiven for walking straight past Pink Lane Coffee without even noticing – it’s tucked away, sandwiched behind Greggs and Subway. If you find yourself near Newcastle’s Central Station – perhaps you’re waiting for a train or meeting a friend as I was – I’d definitely recommend calling in.
If you’re really into your coffee then you’ll be interested to know that Pink Lane Coffee boasts its own roastery. Personally, I’m not particularly knowledgeable in this area, but I know when a coffee tastes good – and boy the coffee here tastes really, really good! The baristas all certainly know their beans. They’re also lovely.
You can grab a coffee to go (in an eco-friendly completely compostable cup) or if you prefer you can sit in and enjoy the chilled vibes. The furniture is cool and minimal – think wooden tables with benches and chairs – it works very well.
A selection of cakes, pastries, and sandwiches is on offer, which I didn’t try although it all looked pretty good. There’s also a pretty decent breakfast menu.
If you love coffee then you’ll love Pink Lane Coffee!
